Nkomazi Plaza Uplifts the Local Community

Nkomazi, Mpumalanga, was hit by a thunderstorm on the evening of 30 September 2016. Hail, strong winds and heavy rainfall caused damage to the buildings and surrounding infrastructure in the area.

Nkomazi Plaza’s roof sheets were also extensively damaged by the storm and could not be reused for the purpose of repairing the roof. The shopping centre took the initiative to donate the damaged roof sheets to deserving members and organisations of the local community who could put them to good use. The donations took place on Thursday 1st December 2016.
